We rely on donations and funding from individuals, companies, trusts and foundations and the Government to deliver our programmes.

By supporting our work, you are helping children and adults in Scotland to unlock their potential through reading and writing.

£5 could send a box of new books to a school library to give them a more inspiring collection for children.

£10 could give a copy of each of three shortlisted books in one of our book prizes to allow a group of children to take part. The prizes are voted for entirely by children in Scotland and celebrate Scotland’s most exciting children’s authors.

£20 could gift books and resources to children in our Shared Reading programme. We work with schools in the most deprived and remote areas of Scotland to encourage children who are struggling to read. We support them to improve their reading skills and build confidence and we encourage them to have fun with books.

£50 could buy a Bookbug Session resource kit to support even more new leaders to run free story, song and rhyme sessions for families in their local area.

£150 could fund an author or illustrator visit to a school or local community event to bring books to life and generate excitement about reading.

£300 could fund a community event during Book Week Scotland – a national week-long celebration of books and reading held in November each year.
