I write and draw comics under the banner of Maximized Comics about historical characters and events, such as Robert the Bruce, William Wallace and Mary Queen of Scots. I also write fiction in a range of genres, and have had work published by DC Thomson (Commando), The77 Publications Ltd and ComicScene, among others.

In 2023, I received a Scots Language Publication Grant to produce The Dunfermline Story, an illustrated history of Scotland’s newest city, which involved over 40 artists.

I am a qualified college lecturer and regularly work with young adults, however, I also provide talks and workshops for all age groups. My historical talks have proved popular with museums, libraries and community groups, and my workshops on writing and drawing have been popular with schools.
