Calling all aspiring crime writers! Enter our flash fiction competition and you could win a place on a Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Masterclass with bestselling author Christopher Brookmyre. Enjoy a full day of workshops, talks and a key-note masterclass worth £95.

Bloody Scotland is Scotland's International Crime Writing Festival, running from 19 to 21 September 2014 in Stirling. 

The Masterclass day is run in association with University of Stirling, and takes place at Macrobert, the university's cultural learning centre, on Friday 19 September. Lunch is included in the day. Find out more on the Bloody Scotland website. 

Please note: Travel is not included in the prize, winners will be responsible for their own travel to the Writing Masterclass day. Macrobert is accessible by public transport with ample free parking available.

How to enter:

We’d like you to submit a story featuring the words ‘Bloody’ and ‘Scotland’. 

Your story should be no more than 100 words.

To enter, please send your entry with your full name and the subject line ‘Bloody Scotland Flash Fiction Competition’ to lynsey.rogers@scottishbooktrust.com.

Entries will be accepted from Monday 11-18 August 2014 (5pm).

Please note: As the masterclass is aimed at adults, this competition is only open to writers over the age of 18.
