Overview

Bookbug in Fife is run by Fife Cultural Trust Library service.

Bookbug Pack Gifting

The Bookbug Baby Packs are distributed to parents by their Health Visitor at the 6 – 16 week check.

The Bookbug Toddler packs are distributed to parents by their Health Visitor or at the MMR vaccination.

The Bookbug Pirate Packs are distributed annually to 3 year olds through nurseries, playgroups and early year’s settings, in partnership with early years professionals.

If your child did not receive a Bookbug Baby or Toddler Pack, please ask at your local library and they can supply your child with one.  Bookbug Pirate Packs may also be collected at your local library but these will only be available after the Fife-wide annual distribution.

Bookbug’s Library Challenge

Bookbug’s Library Challenge is a free programme where pre-school children can collect stickers and certificates in return for borrowing books from the library, which run in libraries throughout Fife.  Each child is given their own Bookbug’s Library Challenge collector card and each time they visit the library they receive a sticker.  Every time they collect 3 stickers they will receive a lovely limited edition certificate.

Bookbug Sessions

Within Fife, free Bookbug Sessions are held in libraries across the authority. Bookbug Sessions are fun, free events for children aged birth to four and their parents, incorporating songs, rhymes, books and play.
