South Glasgow

Bookbug in South Glasgow (formerly South Glasgow Bookstart Project) was founded in 2001 by South Glasgow Childcare Partnership Forum, which continues to oversee the work of the project and its staff.

The South Glasgow Childcare Partnership Forum Bookbug Project introduces books to babies and encourages families to foster reading as a fun part of everyday life, through storytelling workshops, rhyme sessions, book centred events and book packs.

In the past Bookbug in South Glasgow covered the Gorbals, Govanhill and Toryglen areas.  Over the last year the project has grown considerably and now provides a service to the whole of the South of Glasgow.
