This is such a lovely way to share Penguin by Polly Dunbar. Dad and Mum use lots of voices and actions to really engage Asha and bring the book to life. Asha giggles at her Dad’s voices and you can really see how much she loves the interaction. Sharing the book becomes a playful experience by tickling, adding voices and turning the book upside down to get the full effect of Ben standing on his head.
There are some wordless pages in this story, and Dad does a great job of telling the story by talking about what is happening in the pictures. He also gives his daughter lots of time to look at the pages and points to things to help her understand. Asha is very engaged and loves sharing this story so much that she asks to read it again!
