Top-Up Training: Bookbug Session Leader
About the Training
Bookbug Session Leader Top-up Training is designed to help leaders continue to improve their Bookbug Sessions, increase parent and child participation and encourage a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can participate. This is also an opportunity for delegates to share their ideas and best practice with leaders from other local areas.
Course Aims and Objectives
The variety of activities and information included in this course are designed to:
- Update Leaders on the Bookbug Programme, including recent evaluation findings
- Refresh Leaders' Bookbug Sessions with new song, rhyme and book suggestions
- Support discussion around the challenges of leading Bookbug Sessions and give everyone a chance to share best practice
Course Length: 2 ½ hours
Delegate Numbers: 15 to 20 people
Delegates must have already attended Bookbug Session Leader training, delivered either by a Scottish Book Trust trainer or by a locally trained professional. If you are unsure if you have attended Bookbug Session Leader training, please get in touch with us and we will check our records.
Attending or Arranging a Training Session
Individuals - fill out the form on our main training page and ask to be added to our alert list for the course you are interested in. We will email you when a training course is available in your area. If you are not sure you are eligible for any of them, please drop us an email or give us a call.
Groups - if you have a number of people eligible for a particular training course we may be able to organise an in-house session. Fill out the form on our main training page to request an in-house session. Please see above for the delegate number limitations.
