About the Training
This course offers support to practitioners who are already using the Bookbug for the Home approach with families. This course will develop the skills and knowledge from delegates’ initial Bookbug for the Home training.
Course Aims and Objectives
The variety of activities and information included in this course are designed to…
- Update Bookbug for the Home practitioners on the Bookbug Programme including recent evaluation findings
- Refresh practitioners practice with new song, rhyme and book suggestions to help support attachment and attunement
- Support delegates engaging reluctant families
- Introduce book-sharing techniques to support children’s language development
Course Length: 2 hours
Delegate Numbers: 8 to 15 people
Delegates must have previously completed Bookbug for the Home training. Most Bookbug for the Home practitioners are working with families on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. If you are unsure if you have attended Bookbug for the Home training or a different Bookbug course, please get in touch with us before signing up to the course and we will check our records.
