Nicola Davies: Case Study Package

In September 2014 the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour visited primary schools in Argyll & Bute with the fantastic zoologist and children's author Nicola Davies.

Find out how Laura Reynolds, teacher at Rothesay Primary School, created a fantastic cross-curricular project involving poetry, art, nature and music inspired by "The Promise", and how Linda Mollins, librarian at Kirn Primary School, used Nicola's visit to get the whole school excited about reading, talking about and sharing books with a very special Book Bag.

You can also discover brilliant learning resources to accompany Nicola's books, watch Nicola Davies talking about how the natural world can inspire fantastic creative writing, read Nicola's blog about the importance of reading non-fiction and discover loads more books to read!
