Apply for a fully funded Live Literature School Residency

The Live Literature School Residencies programme is currently open for applications for the 2025/26 period.
The Live Literature Schools Residency programme is a fully-funded opportunity for 8 schools to work with an author-in-residence. For all residencies we are happy to facilitate blended models, allowing for the freedom to work remotely or in-person depending on your school’s circumstances. Find out more about school residencies or apply below by Friday 4 April at 12 midday.
Why apply?
Schools receive:
- 14 fully-funded sessions with an author from our author directory: two planning meetings; two staff CLPL sessions; 10 sessions with pupils
- All sessions can be delivered remotely, in-person or with a combination of the two depending on your school’s circumstances
- Scottish Book Trust pay the author’s full fee and expenses directly through the Live Literature programme - no invoicing!
- School staff who are coordinating the project will be invited to induction sessions with our team, where they'll meet staff from other schools
- A £500 grant to buy any resources needed to support the project
- Support from our experienced team
You can download a Word document version of the application form to work on your application offline, but only applications submitted online will be considered. If you have any issues accessing the online form, please email [email protected](this link will open in a new window).
