Live Literature School Residency: St Andrew’s RC Primary School

Scots poet and novelist, Matthew Fitt, will be writer-in-residence at St Andrew’s RC Primary School, in Dundee. Primary 5 pupils will work on the project, ‘Super Scots in St Andrew’s,’ to create a book that they will share with younger pupils.

Matthew Fitt said:

‘Eh canna wait tae work wi the bairns at St Andrew’s Primary in Dundee. Eh ken they’ll hae hunders o great ideas and be fu o fun and heh-jinks tae bring tae their creative writing in the Scots language.’


Anne Leary, Headteacher, said:

‘We are very excited to have been chosen as a Live Literature school residency. Our learners are looking forward to collaborating with Matthew Fitt, experiencing his passion for literacy and developing their knowledge of Scots language. This opportunity will be an invaluable enrichment to our literacy programme and will inspire and enthuse a love of literacy in all our learners within our school community.’
