Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour Jamboree
On 6 June 2018, the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour will host an all-star author line-up at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
2018 is the 20th Anniversary of the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour. To celebrate, the tour will be hosting some of the UK's best children's authors and illustrators at a large Jamboree on 6 June at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall! Author's who will headlining the event are Jacqueline Wilson, Chris Riddell, Pamela Butchart, Cressida Cowell and The Etherington Brothers. Each will wow and amaze your pupils as part of our fun-filled author relay!
Jacqueline Wilson, the creator of Tracy Beaker, will be joining our all-star line-up in Glasgow. Jacqueline has sold over 35million books worldwide, and is probably best known as the creator of Tracy Beaker. This is a fantastic opportunity for your pupils to meet one of the UK's favourite children's authors!
The Etherington Brothers are the creators of the amazing comic books Monkey Nuts, YORE!, Baggage, Malcolm Magic, Tusk and MOON! This dynamic duo are sure to get your pupils excited about reading, writing and illustration!
Chris Riddell is an award winning illustrator and a former Children's Laureate, whose illustrations are loved by children and adults alike. Chris will inspire your pupils to pick up a pencil and get drawing!
Cressida Cowell is the author of the much-loved novel series How to Train Your Dragon, inspired by her childhood on a remote Scottish island. Cressida's session is sure to capture your pupil’s imagination and spark a ideas for their own creative writing!
Pamela Butchart is one of Scotland's most exciting children's authors, and is best known for her books Baby Aliens Got my Teacher and There’s a Werewolf in My Tent! Pamela is sure to inspire your pupils to grab a book and get reading!
