Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour with Ross Collins

In January 2016 the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour visited Nottinghamshire with award winning author and illustrator Ross Collins!

Pupils were very excited that Ross had travelled all the way from Glasgow to visit them, but were quite disappointed to find out that Glasgow wasn't actually as far north as the North Pole.

Ross read from his picture books and drew a menagerie of creatures for pupils, including vampires, bears, robots, mice, a child-eating cheese and some gruesome monsters. Pupils had a go at drawing too, creating some weird and terrifying monsters of their own!

The sessions were fun and inspiring and left pupils buzzing with excitement. As one pupil put it, 'This is the best day ever!'. A huge thank you to Ross and all of the teachers and pupils who we visited in Nottinghamshire for a fantastic week!
