Authors Live Teacher Ambassador Programme: Poetry Slam - Case Study Package

When Peter Kelly and Helen Mackenzie, secondary English teachers from South Lanarkshire, took part in our Teacher Ambassador Programme we asked them to focus on our Authors Live: Poetry Slam event. They came up with the idea of taking the inspiration from the poetry slam and running rap battles in their classrooms with their S2 pupils. They created fantastic resources on preparing arguments on contemporary topics, turning these into rhymes and performing them in a battle style. You can download their resources by clicking on the links below. You can also read Peter's blogs on the project to help you plan how a similar project might work in your own classroom.
