Brian Whittingham

Biography

Brian Whittingham was born, raised and still lives in Glasgow. He left school at 15 to work in the shipyards. He then moved on working as an oil-rig inspector, a draftsman, a taxi-driver, before becoming a writer in residence in the Lothian district. He now lectures Creative Writing workshops at a Glasgow college and freelances taking Creative Writing workshops in schools, museums, galleries, community centres etc. He has written 3 plays, various short stories and 5 poetry collections.
