I have lived in Galloway, South West Scotland for more than 20 years, though I was born in Yorkshire. I trained and worked as a journalist before detouring into yoga teaching for a while. I returned to writing with my first non-fiction book and have since gone into a multi-portfolio working life combining writing, editing, publishing, bookselling and yoga – there's flexibility for you! I am the co director of a children's publishing company and on a day to day basis run a children's bookshop in Wigtown, Scotland's National Booktown. I am also the Literary Advocate for the Wigtown Festival Company and in this role facilitate the Open Book Writers group.
About writer's work

I have edited three collections of short stories. I continue to do PR work on a freelance basis but also have the year round commission for the Wigtown Festival Company. I also work as the Literary Advocate for Wigtownshire for this organisation.
