Jenny Lindsay's headshot

I am a writer and performer of spoken word poetry and literary poetry with two full collections, two theatre shows, and two pamphlet collections of work to date. I have a wealth of experience in mentoring, directing and educating in a range of creative writing practices.

As a GTCS registered teacher I am also professionally trained in working with a range of young people, and have extensive experience - and a desire - to work with 'hard to reach' groups of teenagers in particular. I have worked with a diverse range of groups and individuals including male prisoners, care-experienced young people, adult writers, teen girls who are school-refusers, creative writing groups, mental health service groups and many others. I am a firm believer in using creative writing to encourage personal autonomy and self-understanding and have a wealth of materials and workshop plans to draw from in any session.

I am also a skilled compere and events organiser who has been lauded with contributing to the health of the Scottish spoken word scene over the last 10 years.
