Author details

Alison Belsham

After attending St Andrews University, where I studied economics, I went on to have a thirty-year career as a freelance copywriter, before finding success writing fiction. In 2016, I entered and won Bloody Scotland’s Pitch Perfect competition. This secured me an agent and a three-book publishing deal with Orion for my police procedural series set in the world of tattoos and tattooing. I now live in Edinburgh and divide my time between copywriting and fiction writing.

About writer's work

My first novel, The Tattoo Thief, was published in 2018 and the next two parts of this trilogy will come out in 2019 and 2020, featuring the same principle characters. I’m also working on a non-fiction title about tattoos.
