I am based in Fife. My poetry examines the connection and disconnection between human and non-human animals. Recently, I have written about the effects of cancer and its treatment.
I enjoy working with all age groups. My workshops centre on the relationship between humans and nature. I have published nine collections of poetry, most recently The Year of the Crab, an exploration of the diagnosis and early treatment of cancer. At present, I am working on a series of poems entitled Zoospeak, which looks at animals in captivity.
