8 Fantastic Books About Writing

Read how the professionals do it

Most of us would love to believe that writing is a breeze; that you sit down with a cup of coffee and the words come flying out of your fingers, the ideas just presenting themselves conveniently when you want them. Of course; this isn't true; writing can be a difficult, frustrating and sometimes upsetting slog, and after all that, you might not even get any recognition of your talent for weeks, months or years. So why do we do it? We do it because we can't not write; because we love to do it despite everything.

Sometimes, however, we need a little bit of encouragement; a little bit of a push to keep us going along the path. For those times, here's a collection of books that are about writing. Some are instructional, some are inspirational, and some just give an insight into what life is really like when all you want to do is write.
