Author Biography

Alasdair Maclean was a poet whose sole prose work, Night Falls on Ardnamurchan, was based on the diary of his father. He lived a solitary existance at his cottage in Falkland, Fife for the last decade of his life, and the harshness of country life was a recurring theme in many of his works.
