Celebrating the people in your community who work tirelessly to spread a love of reading and writing

The Scottish Book Trust Awards, in association with Browns Books for Students, are awarded annually to one author or illustrator and one learning professional who have had an inspiring impact on young readers in Scotland.

We believe that the work being done by teachers and librarians across Scotland to inspire children and young people to read for pleasure is worth celebrating, which is why we created the Learning Professional Award.

Has one of your colleagues inspired children and young people to read for pleasure? Have you been involved in an innovative project which has transformed attitudes to reading in your school? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Nominations are now open and you have until 5pm on Friday 23 November 2018 to nominate yourself or a colleague for this award. These nominations will then be considered by our judging panel.

We hope that winning this award will help the winning learning professional to continue to nurture a vibrant reading culture in their organisation. To support this, our winner will receive £500 worth of books for their school or library from Browns Books for Students to help them continue their outstanding work.

Please fill in the form below to nominate yourself or someone else for this award.
