The Schools Events Programme brings some of the best authors in the UK directly into your classroom.
Every year we scour the land for the best authors we can find, whether they have just written their debut book or have a fan base of millions, we bring these wonderful writers into schools around Scotland for free.
We aim to reach as many different pupils in as many different local authorities as possible each year. For more information about upcoming events in your area please follow the links below:

Events Feedback
Discover the impact author events can have on students' confidence in and enjoyment of reading and writing. This independent research, co-funded by Education Scotland, found that students enjoyed both online and face-to-face events with authors and were inspired and encouraged by the events to read books and write short stories. In addition, author events provided teachers with a stimulus and clear tool to plan and deliver lessons and activities to promote reading and writing.
