The old god is born of snow, three globes high. He is crystal skin flakes all the way down, white and cold as an interrogation room light. His carbonized eyes look back to ancient days, warmer days, pagan ecstasies spilling down Mediterranean streets. Children scatter home; the winter sun sets.
