Sienna Bell, age 12

A bell ringing echoes through the serene café. Flinching, stinging hot chocolate burns my lips as I take a cautious sip.

I’m overcome by dangerous seas; a swallowing, unforgiving ocean that spikes my body. Sirens ringing, I’m hauled out of stabbing water by neon jackets.

A chill in the air. The blanket wrapped around me, a sanctuary of warmth. I take a sip of hot chocolate. I feel the soothing warmth flow through me. I look out the window. The Aurora Australis glows in the Patagonian sky. Serenity. Tranquillity. Calmness. Beauty…Lost… Home… Help.
