Annual review and accounts
Our programmes benefit hundreds of thousands of people across Scotland every year, from babies to adults.
Scottish Book Trust's mission is to ensure people living in Scotland have equal access to books. Discover some of the highlights of our work in our Annual Review 2022–23(this link will open in a new window):
- Our fundraising appeal enabled us to provide over 65,000 books to children and families in need, through food banks, hospitals, community spaces and other charities.
- We expanded our Reading is Caring programme beyond its pilot phase, helping people living with dementia and those who care for them use reading and sensory experiences to create special moments of connection, spark memories and relieve stress.
- We commissioned an impact study to assess the unique impact of our universal book gifting programmes – Bookbug and Read Write Count – for children and families in Scotland.
- We presented our Bookbug Hero and Learning Professional Awards to worthy winners from Bute and Renfrewshire.
