Two of Scotland's most talented picture book authors, Tom Nicoll and Ross Collins, treat us to readings of two of their hilarious picture books, There's Nothing Faster Than a Cheetah and There's Nothing Cuter Than a Puppy. Ross shows us how to draw a speedy cheetah and a blobfish with a bouffant! Pencils and paper at the ready...

Build your own race car! (SCN 1-07a, MNU 1-11a, TCH 1-09a, TCH 1-10a)

A lion in a lorry and a fox in a fire engine? Now it's time to build your own super speedy race car! Use materials such as egg boxes, cardboard, Lego and bottle tops, and think about what you need to keep your car stable and able to move. Once you're all ready, have a whole class race in your playground and measure whose car goes the furthest. On your marks. . . Get set. . . Go!
