As a former bouncer and hairdresser, it was inevitable that I would become a playwright, scriptwriter and director. Eighteen years of dealing with neurotic catwalk models and gangsters was ideal preparation for a career in film, TV and radio.

I have since written and directed film, radio and TV projects for all the UK's major broadcasters, ranging from BBC dramas such as Waking The Dead to CBBC's MI High, Eve and CBeebies' Molly And Mack. My guiding principal when creating work or working with the public is entertain first and educate by stealth. My feature film Night People was awarded the BAFTA Scotland and Cineworld Audience Award and I am currently developing film and theatre projects with a number of major production companies.
