I have been writing and publishing for about 30 years - originally short stories and poetry, later Scottish folklore and novels, mostly for 9-13 year-olds, but more recently for teenagers and adult also as well as younger readers. I have published 12 books, all but two full-length. They have been successful, winning prizes and shortlisted for more, televised, and translated into 18 languages. I have three recent novels seeking a publisher.
I have given many talks for the Scottish Book Trust, well over 50.
