I am a writer from Kilmarnock. My interests are witing science fiction, adventure and historical genre fiction, recording events in the lives of those around me, and producing self-published work. In the past I have worked with community groups and I run a writers workshop fortnightly in Shortlees Community Centre. At the workshop, I introduce different ideas for our writing, and we spend at least twenty minutes per session writing on a specific topic.
I was a community worker for many years and assisted people with learning disabilities to live within a complex modern environment, particularly with regard to paying their bills and making sure their money was properly handled by them and our organisation. This has helped with my writing and organisational skills.
