Amber Lee Dodd's headshot

Amber Lee Dodd is an award-winning children’s author and short-story writer. Her work includes the critically acclaimed novels We Are Giants, Lightning Chase Me Home and The Thirteenth Home of Noah Bradley. Her short fiction for adults has been published internationally in various publications and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Amber has been a writing fellow for Hawthornden Castle and The Expansionists, as well as a patron of reading at Mayville High School. She currently works as a Royal Literary Fellow at the University of Glasgow. Event wise, she has given talks and workshops at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the BBC Awesome Authors festival, and the Romanian Book festival among others. She is also experienced in giving assembly talks in schools and performing at World Book Day events. For adults, she has guest lectured at several universities giving creative writing classes and advice.
