Andrew Murrray Scott is the author of five Scottish literary novels under his full name and, as Andrew Scott, is the author of a series of political thrillers. He has ten non-fiction book titles to his name, many of which have been reprinted in several editions, including biographies of Alex Trocchi and Graham of Claverhouse and various books about Dundeeā€™s history and culture.

His first novel, in 2000, won the Dundee International Book Prize. A former freelance journalist and media lecturer, he worked as press officer for senior parliamentarians in three parliaments until 2016 when he returned to full-time writing.
