I am a retired veterinary surgeon living in Orkney, but with family in Perthshire. I write short stories in a mixture of genres, comedy sketches and a little poetry (in English and Lowland Scots). I have had a historical novel published. Set in 1912, it revolved around a veterinary surgeon in Edinburgh. I have had an anthology of humorous fantasy short stories published and 2021 will see the release of a full length fantasy novel. I have also had a few non-fiction articles published.
I have self-published Stone Age whodunits set in Orkney and have set up a small press to work as a co-operative venture with local writers. I have experience of giving talks and illustrated presentations to adults, readings (including online), workshops to small groups, including writing groups and panel events, as well as performing sketches in open mic events.
