Barry Hutchison is an award-winning author of books, comics, and television. Having written over 100 books for children of all ages, Barry now also - as Barry J. Hutchison - writes science-fiction comedy for adults, and has a wealth of experience running events for all ages.
Since May 2019, Barry has been publishing Scottish crime fiction under the pen name, JD Kirk. His DCI Jack Logan series of novels have all become Amazon bestsellers, with readers comparing them to the works of Ian Rankin, Chris Brookmyre, and Stuart Macbride.
As a ‘hybrid author,’ Barry is well-placed to talk at writers groups about both traditional publishing and how he formed his own independent publishing company to publish his books for adults.
