I regularly read my poetry at public events and give talks about my non-fiction work. I’ve read in many different venues, including solo events at the Poetry Association of Scotland and Edinburgh International Book Festival, yet I always feel most privileged when reading or talking about my work wherever literature is spoken live to ‘Speak Truth to Power’ in advocating non-violence, justice and human rights. So whether you’d like me to appear as an individual or collaboratively in formal settings, at fundraising events or at protests sharing these values, I’m happy to take part. I’m a long-standing member of Scottish PEN and the Society of Authors. The themes I mostly address in my work are listed below under Topics of Work. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch about your event – I look forward to meeting you!
