Brian Holton's headshot

I am a translator of modern and classical Chinese poetry and fiction, into both English and Scots. I have been a university teacher and broadcaster, and specialise in introducing my work to audiences, reading my work, either alone, or with the Chinese poet Yang Lian, with whom I have worked for more than 25 years.

I am also a poet, singer, and songwriter, and regularly perform on stage. I have appeared at literary festivals in many countries, given talks or readings in the USA, Canada, Europe, the Far East, and New Zealand.
