I am a writer based in Rutherglen. My first novel, a crime thriller called Squeaky Clean, was published in 2023 and won The McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year. It’s both violent and humorous, written with Glaswegian dialogue. Its sequel, Paperboy, was published in 2025.
I have done panel events at many book festivals, including Bloody Scotland, Aye Write, Cromarty Crime Fest, Newcastle Noir and others, as well as solo events at bookshops and talks in schools for senior pupils studying English. I have also chaired events for other writers.
