Cat Hellisen's headshot

Cat Hellisen writes weird, lush speculative fiction for adults and children. She's the author of When the Sea is Rising Red and Beastkeeper, and her short fiction and poetry have appeared in various magazines and anthologies.

Cat loves myth and monsters, fairytales and folklore, and enjoys encouraging new writers to use fairytales as a springboard for their own creativity. (Photo credit: Nerine and Thomas Dorman)
