CD Boyland's headshot

I am a poet and spoken word artist based in Cumbernauld who has published one well-received pamphlet and has another forthcoming, along with a collection of visual poetry (#vispo). I have also been widely published in literary anthologies and magazines and have performed around Scotland. My practice includes visual, concrete, collage and other experimental forms as well as more traditional lyric poetry.

I have a particular interest in working with people and groups within my home region of North Lanarkshire and in supporting groups, work and initiatives aimed at bringing poets and people with an interest in poetry together, to build communities of interest and boost the profile of poetry in North Lanarkshire and across Scotland.

As a ‘late-emerging poet’ (I didn’t start writing poetry seriously until I was in my forties), I am also keen to connect with, exchange ideas and learn from adults who have come to poetry later in life and who are seeking to build a profile and career away from the established track of universities and creative-writing courses, while balancing work and family commitments.
