I write (as D. V. Bishop) the multi-award-winning Cesare Aldo historical thrillers, published by Pan Macmillan. Before that I had 20 books published across numerous genres, ranging from science fiction (novels of Doctor Who and Judge Dredd) to fantasy (novels of Warhammer) and horror (A Nightmare on Elm Street: Suffer the Children). My broadcast credits as a screenwriter include TV dramas and radio plays for the BBC, along with acclaimed short film scripts. I've written thousands of pages of published comics, and edited the iconic British anthology 2000AD for five years.
I lead the creative writing programme at Edinburgh Napier University, and I've run writing workshops across Scotland, England and Norway.
