David Ian Neville
David Ian Neville works as writer, director and producer. He has written for theatre, TV and radio. Theatre plays include dramatisations of Joan Lingard's novels Twelfth Day of July and Across the Barricades, the Fringe First award-winning play Exile, A Deafening Silence, The Heart of the City and Dough. Radio plays include Desperate Measures and Inside (BBC Radio 4). Television work includes storylines for Lynda La Plante's TV series The Governor, the award-winning TV plays Martha & The Audition for STV, and scripts for BBC and STV Schools programmes.
He has performed one-man shows for young people including The Book Safari and The Life & Times of RLS. He is an experienced theatre director and has produced a wide variety of dramas for BBC Radio including Behind Closed Doors, 44 Scotland Street, The Archers and Shuttle Diplomacy for Radio 4; Black Watch and Three Five Silly Twerp for Radio 3, Lynton Bay and King of Hearts for Radio Scotland, and Station Road for Radio Wales.
He has devised projects and workshops for a wide range of organisations. Workshops or talks can focus on writing for theatre and radio and his own work as a playwright and scriptwriter.
