David Kinloch's headshot

David Kinloch was born and brought up in Glasgow. He taught French language and literature for many years and is currently Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

He has published five books of poems, the last four with Carcanet Press, and has written widely as a critic on aspects of French and Scottish Literature. He was co-founder and co-editor of the magazine, Verse, helped to set up the Scottish Writers' Centre and is a trustee of the Edwin Morgan Trust.

He is happy to give readings from his poetry and to give occasional talks.
