Deborah Moffatt's headshot

I am primarily a writer of poetry, in English and in Gàidhlig, although I also write fiction and non-fiction. My writing is widely published in the UK and Ireland, including two collections of poetry in English and one in Gàidhlig. I have won prizes for my poetry in both languages.

I am available for readings in either language or both. I am also a musician, performing (on fiddle, flute and whistle) with Scottish dance bands and as a solo artist, a folk-singer, performing mostly American and Latin American folk songs, and a dancer, performing and teaching Middle Eastern dance. I am happy to include music, dance and song in my events, and/or to work with other performers of these arts.
