Dr Tawnya Selene Renelle's headshot

Dr. Tawnya Selene Renelle is an experimental writer and educator. Her poetry collection this exquisite corpse was published in May 2019 and described by Colin Herd as “A Book of Delight. An Embodied Book. A Personal Book.”

Tawnya is available for teaching workshops, mentorship on creative projects, and for readings. While her area of expertise is experimental and hybrid forms she also has extensive experience in poetry and memoir. As a workshop leader you can expect her to run exiting and inventive sessions that get writers thinking outside the box. She currently runs her own independent sessions via Zoom but is always looking for opportunities to bring her unique style of teaching to those who it might benefit.

As a recent graduate from The University of Glasgow she also has a strong academic and research background and is available for lectures or talks. As a mentor she has thus far worked on four memoirs, one which has now been shortlisted for an award, two poetry collections, two novels, and numerous academic dissertations. She is keen to work with writers across genres and has a personal and hands on approach.
