Éadaoín Lynch
Éadaoín Lynch is an Irish poet, writer & researcher based in Edinburgh. They hold an MLitt and PhD from the University of St Andrews, have worked as a mentor and freelancer since 2021, and, most recently, facilitated an intergenerational creative writing project run by conFAB and LGBT Youth Scotland.
Éadaoín’s first poetry pamphlet, Fierce Scrow, was published by Nine Pens Press in 2022. That same year, Re·creation: A Queer Poetry Anthology – co-edited with Alycia Pirmohamed – was published by Stewed Rhubarb Press.
Their work has been shortlisted for the Jane Martin Poetry Prize and the London Magazine Poetry Prize. In 2024, their poem ‘Brogue’ was commended by Raymond Antrobus for the Magma Poetry Competition Judge’s Prize. They were also selected as writer-in-residence with Typewronger Books for December 2024-May 2025, in partnership with the Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive.
Éadaoín has performed at multiple UK festivals, including the ALT Book Fringe, Ledbury Poetry Festival and Push the Boat Out. They have also judged poetry competitions such as Scottish Book Trust's New Writers Awards, the StAnza Poetry Slam, and in 2024, the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award.
