Poet, editor, performer, workshop facilitator, teacher, bibliotherapist. I love working with people to develop and hone their writing and performing skills, and run regular workshops in Embodied Poetry, as well as weekly sessions in HMP Dumfries and The Stove in Dumfries with Open Book. I worked as an editor for Dark Mountain from 2013-2016 and am currently in the process of setting up a local charity to offer workshops in writing for wellbeing and resilient futures for young people, with a particular focus on climate change and ecology.

I've a PhD in Creative Writing from Glasgow. My first collection Bird-Woman was published by Shearsman in 2016, and was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Best First Collection, winning the 2017 Saltire Poetry Book of the Year. My second collection Horse-Man is coming out with Shearsman in September 2019. (Photo credit: Heshani Sothiraj Eddleston)
