Emma Salisbury is the author of 13 crime fiction novels spanning police procedurals, hard-boiled Edinburgh gangs and even a psychic detective!

The books in her DS Kevin Coupland series, set in Manchester, have all become Amazon bestsellers, likened by readers to the BBC’s compelling drama series Happy Valley for its gritty realism and pace. Her work has been compared to Lynda La Plante, Gillian Flynn and Michael Connelly.

Featured in the Sunday Mail and on BBC Radio Scotland and Talk Radio Europe, her novels have regularly been in the Amazon Hardboiled chart top ten and she is a recipient of the Amazon All-Star bonus for being one of their most read authors in the UK. Emma is also a 2024 Joffe Books Prize Finalist.

A confident public speaker, Emma is able to deliver readings, talks, run workshops and participate in panel events covering topics including crime writing, writing a series, self-publishing and marketing.
