Writing both fiction and poetry, my work has been published in many magazines and anthologies.  I was winner of the Scottish Writers’ Groups Short Story Competition 2011, their Poetry Competition 2012, and was second in Pendle War Poetry 2018.

I have run many workshops and for a year provided workshops for NHS Renfrewshire Network Services.  My poems are on display in Linwood, Johnstone and Erskine Health Centres.   I assisted in organising the 2017 Tannahill International Poetry Competition.  I am Chairperson of Lochwinnoch Writers.

My poetry deals with contemporary issues, with the beauty of nature and with memory, love and bereavement.  My Victorian detective novellas feature Sebastian Symes, a contemporary and rival of Sherlock Holmes.

I enjoy public readings of my work and have performed in Paisley’s Care Homes and Lunch Clubs, at the Thames River Festival and throughout Scotland.

I have experience in self-publishing.
