Hazel Cameron's headshot

Hazel Buchan Cameron has worked freelance on a variety of writing and creative projects.

She was the first Writer in Residence at the Royal Scottish Geographical Society which led to her compiling a book of unpublished stories, Peak Beyond Peak, by the extraordinary explorer and botanist, Isobel Wylie Hutchison (1889–1982). (Taproot Press, September 2022)

Hazel has published a number of poetry collections, including Cutting Letters (Red Squirrel Press, 2016) and a memoir, Just Go In (Grace Note Publications, 2015).

She also worked for the cultural education charity Art UK on their national oil paintings and sculpture digitisation projects.
