Growing up in Caithness left me a love for wild places. I enjoy sharing stories which inspire wonder for nature and travel to wherever listeners may be - nurseries, schools, forests, gardens, care settings, community groups, libraries or theatres - then let storytelling adventures transport us deep into the woods, o'er moor and mountain where daring deeds await before it's time to for tea...

A qualified woodland leader and John Muir Award facilitator with a PVG, I combine storytelling with woodland discovery, den-making, plant ID, nature play and story-making, supporting literacy, CfE topics and wellbeing. I have a background in psychology and experience working in community health and wellbeing settings.

I offer storytelling sessions to support mindfulness, creativity and relaxation. Also, with Elderwise I facilitate gentle, interactive story sessions for older audiences and carers, choosing reminiscence themes and stories to stimulate memory and conversation. My recent work includes: Gala Week Stories, celebratory story event for Luminate Festival of Creative Ageing & Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2019 Changing views - Intergenerational project gethering stories of the Braid Hills 2018 Stories of Seven Hills - National Library of Scotland Social 2019 Lost Worlds, workshop exploring language and our relationship with nature for RBGE Connect with Nature Festival 2019.
